Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists and hepatologists involved in the care of patients with gastrointestinal and liver disease.

 

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Describe current screening, diagnosis, and management options for patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) and gastrointestinal (GI) disorders

  • Apply optimal treatment strategies for patients with CLD and GI disorders

  • Compare and contrast currently available treatment modalities for CLD and GI disorders

Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources (MER) and Focus Medical Communications. MOC Designation

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 8.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
